“EXPO 2017 Astana” ICT week

The final week of international World exhibition “EXPO Astana 2017” focused on information and communication technologies, “Meditec” was represented by chairman of the board Mārtiņš Sils and senior solutions architect Sergejs Skusovs. During their visit, M. Sils and S. Skusovs met with potential business partners at hospitals and two clinics. Showing their knowledge and competency, common grounds were found between our competent and knowledgeable representatives and colleagues from Kazakhstan. Both sides agreed to work on a possible co-operation project that in the future would ensure export of “Meditec” medical information systems to Kazakhstan. Additionally, a co-operation memorandum was signed between Latvia, Kazakhstan and Sweden. It aims to improve the development and collaboration in ICT sector. Between business meetings and official receptions, participants had a chance to go and explore other international pavilions. The most impressive pavilions, that also went hand in hand with the theme of “EXPO 2017” – “Future Energy” were owned by USA, Germany and Japan. All of them had used high technology solutions but Japanese even focused on virtual reality. The visit was financed on the basis of agreement No. SKV-L-2016/123 signed between “Meditec” and the “Latvian Investment and Development Agency” on April 25, 2016 for receiving support within the project of „Promotion of International Competitiveness”. It is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund.
